Simple

I think one of the aspects that I've enjoyed about this big move would be having a whole load less stuff. Right now, furniture is down to the bare minimum: some drawers, the mattresses, a clothes rack. Cleaning is somewhat easier. We have less toys and less books, and yet play still continues. Sometimes, less just means you enjoy life more.

I wish I could say the same for the mess of thoughts, ideas & feelings that have been churning inside me the past week. I've been wanting to start homeschooling but can't seem to get down to it. My fingers are itching to scrap the albums to chronicle our stay here, but the sticky baby has refused to let me leave his side each night.

So do pardon me if I don't pop in for awhile this week. My brain needs some sorting out, & I need to clear some mental clutter. Will be back again when the creative engine has been revved and started again!

  1. I totally understand. You should take care of yourself and your family right now and don't forget creativity never leaves us. Hard times can be very creative. A BEAR hug for you from Buenos Aires!

  2. All in good time. :) Euphoria is right, "creativity never leaves". I always thought I was never very creative but after having my girl and allowing myself time to *think* and *dream* more, I find myself doing much better! -- used to keep chasing deadlines until I become an engine. always running but never getting anywhere. so take time, sip a cuppa and unwind. :)

  4. Learning can take place anytime and anywhere. On "down" days, we simply play and along conversations, I find myself teaching Vee when he asks me questions. Most importantly, get yourself and the kids well-settled first. All the very best! :)
