We had to cut baby J's hair as he's not had a haircut since birth, as we opted to skip the "shave it all off" stage that some parents choose when they are a few months old. He was born with a full head of hair, so it was really long and starting to poke his eyes. Hubby volunteered to do it when baby J was sleeping, and ended up only cutting his fringe, leaving the sides long as he wanted his son to have "manly sideburns". But the little boy ended up looking more like a girl with bangs and long hair at the side, so I lopped off the sides too during another nap. The haircut's not perfect, but at least he looks more like a boy now. We were really getting tired with all the strangers cooing over the "cute girlgirl" in our arms!
