Anyway, I've been busy typing lots and lots and lots of data into my excel spreadsheet (in total there will be 24 full pages of data, of font size 9, and that's only HALF of it!), and getting rather cross-eyed in the process. However, I'm also feeling really blessed today, and today has been a rather smooth one so far. :)
So let the gratefulness begin! I'm thankful this week that:
1. We have all recovered from our colds. Thank you, God, for good health!
2. Junior J's appetite is much better. He still has a small appetite compared to other toddlers, but at least he's eating his usual portion of food. In fact, he performed a hat trick today and finished all 3 meals today (of course there was spitting, but most of the stuff went into the tummy!), which makes me really really happy!
Food here, there, everywhere!
3. Junior J had 2 decent naps today. No waking up halfway with a nightmare or tummyache...
4. The little boy plays all sorts of funny games with us. He's started this really funny one: He crawls and hides behind you, and taps you on your shoulder. When you turn around and act surprised, he cackles with glee and proceeds to repeat the process another 10 times. To both my and his delight!
5. My mum is willing to help to babysit the boy during the day, so that I can have some time to work on my research.
Learning to draw with his grandma...
From the cuddly koalas...
Taken at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, Brisbane, Australia
To the pink piggies...
3 little pigs, at a farm in Glenorchy, South Island, New Zealand
From alligators to zebras. I'm always amazed by the animals that we have on earth!
7. The boy has started walking on his own! It started this evening when he let go of his Papa's hand and toddled across the kitchen... then it progressed to a game of running between the both of us... and finally, just before bedtime, I gave the little boy his pyjamas when he was playing in the study, and he took them, walked at top speed (using the drunken sailor walk that he's currently adopting as his means of mobility) across the room, and disappeared out of the door! I was expecting him to sit down after a few steps, and had to run after him!
8. The hubby managed to do a 3 km run yesterday, in preparation for his mini-triathlon on Sunday. He said he felt good after the run, so I'm glad. :)
What are you thankful for today?
aww yay a milestone reached for Baby J!!
ReplyDelete*gulps* thats a lot of data, gambatte!
Look like lots to be thankful for this week :) First comes the baby steps, then the other milestones will all come quickly one after another. Love to read your weekly write-ups, always never fail to remain me to be thankful for many things in my life.
ReplyDeleteBingling: Thanks... :) Ya man, I'm getting really woozy looking at my excel file!
ReplyDeleteRachel: :) Yes it seems like every week there is some new milestone reached, which makes me so so thankful... Kids really are a blessing aren't they?
So he walks...
ReplyDeleteTHAT´S GREAT!!!
Lara walks, runs, eats like a 5 year old, and she is getting fat... is that normal? She had spinach, an egg, an entire orange and half a banana just for dinner. She can eat and eat and eat all day long!!!
I´m thankful for the good health of my family, though I´m a little worried about giving Lara the flu vaccine. I hate vaccines in general. A homeopatic doctor told me today that they have terrible colateral damages.
Kira: Be glad that your little girl loves to eat! :) Its way easier than having a toddler that keeps spitting... Hope everything goes well after the vaccinations!
ReplyDeleteYea! That's awesome that Junior J is walking! Also, I like the new blog design. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lindsay!
