Thankful Tuesdays: A quick post

Ooops, late again, since I've been busy with my dissertation and scrapbooking.  I'll be giving myself the next few days to really concentrate on my research (apart from the usual normal day things like spending 1/8th of an entire day of 24 hours feeding the boy his meals), so hopefully I have something rather decent to submit on Monday.

Anyway, it's never too late to give thanks, so here's my list for the week:

:: God's Word.  Which always guides and comforts us.

:: Father-son time, which is always great... but will soon be getting better since the hubby is being rotated to another hospital for a month, and only has 3 calls this month.  And NO weekend calls!  Yippeee!

:: The hubby, who has patiently chipped in to take care of the little boy when I need time to do my research.

:: The fantastic flora and fauna we have all around us, even in the urban concrete jungle that is Singapore.

Picture snapped in South Island, New Zealand
:: New growth: The hot weather and heavy rains have caused another orchid in my garden to send out flowering shoots.  And this was a Teacher's Day present from many years back, and the plant has stubbornly refused to flower thus far (granted, I'm a rather lazy gardener, and I hardly add fertilizer when I should!).  Until now.  Yay!

This is the other orchid plant that is currently flowering.
I've posted pictures of this one before, but I couldn't resist snapping this one
with the sun glowing through the purple petals!
:: Friends, that encourage and spur you on, lend you a listening ear, patiently answer my silly questions on stats in the middle of the night, go online shopping with you, and share scrappy supplies with you.  You all are the best!

What are you thankful for this week?

  1. I´m thankful for the presence of my mom, who gave us a great surprise coming from Patagonia. She is so helpful and we love her very much.
