Hello hello! Like I've mentioned, we're having a really nice long weekend this round since the hubby is still on leave. It has been more time with family...
... feasting together (sorry its grainy iPhone food pics again):
Dinner at Tonny Restaurant, to celebrate Mother's Day with both my MIL and mum. The food is pretty yummy, and we liked the fried yam strips and the crab congee, but found the award-winning Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (above) rather overrated. :p The place is worth a visit if you like Cantonese cuisine (review here)! |
Ampang Yong Tau Foo: Wasn't too great, since we ate at the wrong stall (the award winning stall happened to be next door!), but at least we got our tummies filled after a tiring time at the zoo... |
... and just enjoying the simple things in life, like buckets...
... leaf-collecting,
and meeting some animal friends, both new...
Otters eagerly waiting for feeding time, at the zoo! |
... and old:
Junior J having a very odd conversation with his car companion, Mr Mouse. It consisted mainly of the mouse playing peekaboo with him, followed by some mousey farts and exclamations of "smelly!". |
Glad you had a lovely weekend! Enjoyed your photos as usual :) That first pic is awesome! Hope the cleaning/packing aftermath of the visit will not be too strenuous on you!
ReplyDeleteI love that last photo! It just captures that pure contentment and joy of his weekend!
ReplyDeleteCorsage: Thks! The pic was actually water spilling from one of the auto-tip buckets at the water play area. Was trying to get the splashing that I almost got splashed in the process! And my in-laws are amazing guests, my MIL cooked when she was here... Only thing we had to do was to wash the sheets & towels. ;)
ReplyDeleteKelly: Thks! ;) Wished I had managed to get a video too, him making the mouse fart was really hilarious!
Haha I would love to see that video of him making Mr Mouse fart! Love kids being silly and cheeky.
ReplyDeleteI Love this post! so many beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteseems like you had a great time!
I love the Ampang Niang Tou Fu at Upper Thomson too! Even though I think the fried bits are terribly salty and probably laden with MSG ;)
ReplyDeleteSusan: Now I'm really regretting not taking a vid! Oh well... maybe the next round!
ReplyDeleteSophie: :) Thanks... we did, it was a great weekend for us!
Debra: Haha, actually the fried bits are my fav... :p We are going to try the stall next door that is supposed to be good! :)
