But well, I've succumbed, and I find that having an account is useful. I can pin up all the useful ideas I come across with regards to little learning, crafting and interior design, and even keep track of the yummy recipes that I want to try out... So far, its been great way of storing ideas in a visual way, to easily keep track of the huge number of great ideas floating around in cyberspace. I used to just bookmark links, but this just usually means they get lost over time!
So far, I find having specific categories help, otherwise it'll be a huge mess of pictures after awhile (you probably can see I have a weakness for nice neat storage!). Also, if you do start pinning, don't forget to make sure you pin up your picture using the specific blog post, and not link back to the main page, otherwise you might have a hard time finding the details later on!
Do you pin too? Do you find it useful? (You can find my pins here, do leave your link too if you have an account, would love to see what tickles your fancy!)
Welcome to the pinning world :)
ReplyDeleteLike u, I finally give in to 'pinning' things.
ps: am already following your pins
Dorcas: Thanks! :) Following you back! ;)
ReplyDeleteHey MamaJ, same here! I’m a Pinterest addict and I pretty much like to pin to sorta of destress. I find it therapeutic to see beautiful things and pin them into my boards (& pretend I owe them).
ReplyDeleteI have followed you too. PC and Corsage are pinners too. =)
Does it works only with Mac? I can't get it displayed on PC. I could only view on ipad. Seems like ipad safari unable to add the 'pin' bookmark.
ReplyDeleteYvonne: Haha, yes, its pretty therapeutic to pin, pin, pin! :) Am following you, as well as PC and Corsage. :)
ReplyDeleteCE: That's odd, cos I've been able to pin both on Safari and Firefox, but then I'm using a Macbook and not an iPad. Have you tried dragging the pin button to your bookmarks bar at the top of the browser?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about the PC though, sorry! The page does not load at all on the PC?
Wow, thanks for introducing me to Pinterest! Looks like something I would love to do. I'm using PC though, hope it will work. Will try when I have more time. Thanks for sharing your pins.. lovely!
ReplyDeleteIts great reading the existing boards. Hope i can pin some of my own. Need a favor here from fellow pinterest lovers though...I notice from the video the exact link of the 'pin it' bookmark would appear when the cursor is on it. Would appreciate it if anyone could copy down the link, for editing it into iPad safari bookmark. Cos drag and drop doesn't work in iPad. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYou're in too! I must warn you that it is terribly addictive. I've stopped for a bit these few crazy weeks for a breather. Hopefully I get back to it soon :)
ReplyDeleteFound some instruction for making it work with iPad and other browser here

Wow... addictive..
ReplyDeleteRuth: I think it does work on PC... Happy pinning! :)
ReplyDeleteCE: Yay, seems like you've managed to get it to work!
Corsage: Haha, yes, I know! But I do love how it keeps all my ideas organized visually in one place...
Love your learning activities! This is what I call learn through play :)
ReplyDeleteWould it be alright if I copy some activities?
Littlehelper: Thanks! And yes, by all means, do use the activities (a link back would be nice, if you do blog about them)... let me know if you try any!
