Birthdays are supposed to be happy smiley events. You know, with cake and yummy food and balloons (if you're young enough). Well, yesterday was my birthday, and it wasn't such a great day. I was down with a cold, and both the boys were also sick. Both of them took turns to keep us up at night since Junior J was bunking with us (the in-laws are using his bedroom now), so whenever one woke up crying, the other would too. It was one of those pukey, I-don't-want-to-eat, whiney kind of days. And there was no birthday dinner too, since I couldn't taste a thing thanks to my blocked nose (We learnt our lesson since last time!).
Whatever the case, ranting about how it was supposed to be a good day and all won't make it any better. Sniffles and fevers aside, we still had a nice dinner (chicken rice, cooked by the MIL) with the family, and it was nice to have helping hands with the kids since the in-laws are here. Unfortunately though, the nephew is also now down with bug too.
There weren't many smiles yesterday, so I dug into my photo archive, and found this. Guess what he's grinning about?
... there was a certain someone underneath tickling his toes with his hair! I'm always very thankful for their laughter. :)
What are you thankful for today? (A big big thank you to those who have been joining us thus far by linking up or via Instagram!)

ReplyDeleteLiza: Thanks! I'm always glad when I manage to catch both of them smiling, plus looking at the camera!
