Thankful Tuesdays: And now, homeward bound

We've been overseas for slightly more than a year. Two Easters have passed us by.

We've experienced all four seasons. The blooms of spring...

... the wonderful warmth of summer...

... the gorgeous colours of fall...

... and the chills of winter.

It was a dream of mine, to be able to live overseas, and experience the four seasons, while soaking in another culture. And now, it is almost time to go home.

So today, I am thankful. Thankful for this year of being able to live that dream with my little family, while seeing my two boys grow up. Thankful for how absence makes the heart grow fonder, and has taught us to treasure our friends and family more. Grateful for how God has protected and blessed us this whole year. Thankful that we can look forward to going back to a place which we call home. And thankful for all of you, dear friends, who have followed us through our journey this year abroad.

So its goodbye, Germany. And hello again, sunny Singapore... in two days time.

    1. Thanks Mabel! It was nice experiencing the seasons, but we weren't too fond of winter! Think we're too used to the tropics. :)

  5. It's always been my dream to live overseas for a short period too, to experience the four seasons and a different culture. It's really great that you were able to do that. I'm sure the boys also benefited from the whole experience. But im sure it's nice to return home too! Welcome back!

  7. Welcome home, Jus. I think it's great you guys had the opportunity to experience a different "home" and culture for a period of time. Must have been quite a learning and stretching experience for all of you, so it's definitely something to be thankful for! :)

  8. So lucky to be able to live abroad for awhile and get to experience a different culture, and of course the four different seasons which we sadly don't get to enjoy here. Get ready for the horrible moodswing weather when you return to SG! It's been insanely warm, and then pouring like mad in the afternoon. Plus super humid! With that said, I'm sure you must be looking forward to all the local delights like char kway teow and laksa hehe.
