Weekend wanderings: Celebrating little joys

We spent most of the weekend at home since little boy was sick (today marks day 5 of the fever, so its off to the PD later).  Amidst the coughing, crying (due to him hating having to use the puff) and spitting (of food) there were still little joys...

... of making dinner as a familly:

:: Of little and large hands pressing the dough (recipe here) nicely to fit the pan...

:: Of little fingers carefully placing mushrooms on top (then stealing a taste of the sauce when we were not looking):

:: Of white dough and red sauce, reminding me of His body broken and His blood spilt.  And a reminder that not only do we give thanks for His death, we celebrate His ressurection!

:: Of middle-of-the-night hymns sung to celebrate the empty tomb:

Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the King!
The hope of all who seek Him, the help of all who find,
None other is so loving, so good and kind.

He lives, He lives,
Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way.
He lives, He lives,
Salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart!

I hope you had a blessed weekend... and a blessed Easter!

  7. Thanks everyone! Little boy seems better after starting antibiotics. :) The pizza was quite yummy, but we've gotta try making the crust thinner, and we also left it too long so some bits got burnt! Always a first time I guess...
