We've been taking a peek into various small spaces for little people, and I couldn't help marveling at how each space is unique, thanks to the people that live in that home.
So this week, I am thankful for what makes a house a home:
:: Laughter that fills the empty gaps and rings through the rooms in the morning. And songs that are sung, that filter through the walls and make me smile.
:: Messy meals around the table, that is sticky from little fingers. Tummies that get fed while gathering together as a family.
:: That same table, splattered with paint or streaked with crayon marks from some happy half hour of art.
:: Books, that get read aloud and are enjoyed together as a family.
:: Containers, that sort and hold all manner of useful things and sometimes things that are precious.
Baby J was riding in a "space ship". A Papa-powered one. |
:: Smiles, that brighten up the home more than any expensive painting can.
I am thankful to God for giving us a family, that makes whatever place we go to, home. I am grateful that we do not need to worry about where to rest our head, or when our next meal is coming. Sometimes, it is a happy problem to ponder about what to cook for dinner, or what colour bedsheets will match our room... isn't it?
