Weekend Wonderings: Take time to smell the roses

I have been juggling many balls lately. Motherhood, family and housework, this blog and its FB page, as well as the shop that a friend and I set up recently, selling vintage and old-fashioned things that we love. It has been a really fulfilling yet busy time, but I think in the process of getting everything done I've neglected my health. Just this weekend I sprained my back, which made bending or carrying baby difficult. It was really frustrating doing housework at a snail's pace, especially when there were so many things on my to-do list!

But I think the sprained back is a lesson to me, that I really need to slow down and take time to smell the roses. And I also need to take time to take care of myself, and get more rest and sleep. There's so much I want to do, there's so much I'd like to blog about, but I have to take it slow, or I might just burn out. So bear with me, as I probably be sharing less crafts/learning activities for awhile.

As for all our new readers who have been popping over after reading the interview, hello and welcome! You can read more about our learning activities here, our book recommendations here and here. There are also posts on our art and craft here, and our homeschooling journey here. Have a blessed week everyone!

PS: If you're wondering about those gorgeous flowers, here's the story behind them. :)

  1. Yes, do take care of yourself! I call it the airline oxygen mask principle. :)

  2. I salute you. Handling so many stuff on your plates, and doing them well. Take care of that back.
