Thankful Tuesdays: Blessed

I had a blessed time celebrating my birthday yesterday.  We opted to stay in, since we were not sure if Junior J would need to poop (a major cause for concern these days), but it was still a rather lovely day nonetheless.  Am so thankful for:

:: God's mercy and love that has brought me through the past 31 years.

:: The hubby and Junior J who snuck out in the evening to get me a big bunch of flowers:

Little boy ran into our room holding them,
with the Papa shouting after him "don't squish them, don't squish them!"

:: My in-laws, who have been such a great help.  My MIL prepared steamboat yesterday night (and even tried to feed me kidneys saying it was supposed to be good for me, unfortunately, I couldn't take more than a bite...), and she has been a big help around the house.  Both of them love the boys alot, and really enjoy spending time with them.

:: Good friends, who are always ready to lend a listening ear.  And who turn up suddenly at your doorstep bearing little cakes for you and toys for Junior J...  (And that dear friend was supposed to fly off that night and hadn't packed yet... Thanks HP, I was really touched!)

The hubby fed the chocolate pieces to Junior J.
Little boy skipped his afternoon nap, so after the sugar rush he went totally bonkers!
He was running up and down and giggling like crazy...

:: All the well-wishes that have been pouring through various channels.  A big thank you to those who also popped by with your well-wishes over on this blog... It was also nice "catching up" a little with long lost friends and ex-students through FB!

:: Toys, that not only entertain the little ones...

We received a compact baby gym from some really thoughtful nurses in the hubby's hospital,
which fitted perfectly in the cot!

... but also the older ones too:

Junior J has been playing with the toys attached to the gym,
and carrying it around looking like some rickshaw puller with the whole frame sticking out behind him!

:: Yummy juicy fruits on hot days:

:: Tiny toes kept toasty in little tortoise suits!

:: And finally, good animal husbandry, which dictates that any animal friend sitting in the high chair should be belted in securely:

What are you thankful for this week?
