The album was perfect for all those vacation photos, so I got down to work yesterday and scrapped the first of our trips in Europe, to the Netherlands:
I do admit that I spend time agonizing over how to layout the photos, about colours, about layering, etc. But with so little (or sometimes no) time to scrap, I'm reminded that its not about how pretty our creations are, but about putting those memories down on paper. After all, 20 years down the road, we won't be looking at these pages and admiring how well the embellishments go together, but cherishing those photos that speak volumes! So I kept it simple:
And of course, added loads of journalling:
That lovely drawing of the Amsterdam buildings was actually cut out from a paper bag given to us when we bought postcards! And another friend sent over some die-cut doillies and other lil useful things, so some of those went into the pages too. I'm really blessed with the nicest of scrap-mates! I've only managed to finish 2 pages (yes, I did agonize a little about those embellishments still), but hopefully I can keep this up!
What about you? Do you spend time agonizing about these details, or are you one speedy scrapper?
Awesome pages :) I started with the red doodle smash book in April and I have just finished the whole book yesterday :)
