Saturday scrapping: We're all learning...

For us, we're learning each day to be better parents, to learn how to deal with tantrums, constipation and discipline.  For you, little boy, everyday brings about more and more milestones, as you talk and chatter and play.  So as you approach 31 months...

I want to remember how you're learning to ride your bike (can you find the bicycle in the LO?), and how fascinated you are with scooping out water lilies after we read "The Magical Garden of Claude Monet".  How you love picking up leaves at the playground and going down the slide with them.

The huge bloom reminds me of a waterlily, and was made using punches, and coloured with distress inks.
The leaves were punched out of the same MME paper and coloured using distress stains.

There's so much to remember, and so much to record, that my journalling is again stuffed behind your photo...

The tag is attached to a card with all the journalling on it!

It has been an amazing journey, as we walk with you and see how fast you are growing up.

So as you speed on towards turning 3, I just want to say we're so blessed to have you.  The little loving boy that loves his animal friends, who feeds, bathes and doctors his bear (you and bear are really the best of friends!).  That manages to find fun in the smallest of moments, and never fails to make us laugh with your funny talk.  Who, on good days, is cheerful, and declares "I'm happy!".  The one who loves to count everything (can you spot the strip of numbers near the title?), from animals in books, to the levels as the lift goes up and down, and is a bookworm that enjoys reading (hence all that text in the background).

Sketch: My Mind's Eye
Papers, stickers, stamps and tags are all from My Mind's Eye.
Embellies: Key (Tim Holtz), Flowers (Prima), Lettering (Papermarket Alphabites)

We love you, little boy!  Happy 31 months in advance!

  4. Evergreen: Thank you!

ET Family: I usually just stuff them in those albums with clear holders that fit these 12x12 inch layouts. Since I try to do one every month for the boy at least, there won't be space if we frame them...

    Janice: Thanks! :)
